Varadahalli is a small hamlet that is off the main road near the town of Sagar. It is known for the temple on the hill and Varadashrama.

Temple is at the top of the hill. One has to walk from the base. Parking will be at the base. There is a stay option at the temple as well, provided you are booking certain seva.
There is a temple here and like most other temples in the region, free lunch is provided at a communal dining hall every day to all visitors between 1230 - 1400 hrs. The fare is a simple vegetarian meal consisting of rice with rasam, sambar, and buttermilk. Although the lunch is free, donations are recommended.
Towards Shimoga. There are daily trains to Shimoga from Bangalore. (16:30, 23:15,16:45,06:30)From Shimoga one can a hire taxi to reach Sagar and then Varadahalli. Sagar is 75kms from Shimoga and Varadahalli is 5km from Sagar. KSRTC operates daily buses to Shimoga.
One drive via Pune -> Hubli and then Sagar. There are many trains connection Mumbai with Honnavar on Konakan railway. From Honnavar take Buses going towards Shimog via Sharavathy Valley which is very scenic.
